Hello, I’m Ben Patterson and I work at Orchard Hill Church.
This is my personal blog. It is truly a place for me to write about whatever I want to write about. I believe that if you want to become a better communicator then you must effectively write down what you are going to say.
My goal is to share stories, lessons, and relevant content that will encourage you. If you have a passion for learning, this blog is for you.The over/under for posts-per-week is two. Sometimes you hit the over, and sometimes you get the under. To make sure you don’t miss my newest posts, you can subscribe via RSS or email by entering your email address in at the bottom of the page.

My Biography
I have worked in the church for fifteen years, three of them professionally. I began in 7th grade as a volunteer storyteller for children under age-3 on Sunday mornings. I served in that capacity for six years in addition to leading small groups in Children’s Ministry, and leading music for Vacation Bible School. As well as being a Youth Director, I also have five years of radio experience as a play-by-play announcer and sports talk show host.
I have been married to my wife, Liz, for five years. We have two daughters, two sons, and two dogs. We live in Cedar Falls, IA.
In my free time, I enjoy sport with the kids, writing, reading, walking, and disc golfing.
